Biography

Hailing from Beijing, China, Siyumeng Wang is a 25-year-old pianist who enchants audiences with her heartfelt performances. Her genuine charm and captivating stage presence have made her a sought-after artist, known for her sincere and expressive interpretations.

Siyumeng has earned a series of accomplishments in the world of piano competitions, including first prizes at notable events like the Beijing All-Star Cup Piano Competition, the Hope Cup Piano Competition, the China National Children's Mozart Piano Competition, and the Oberlin International Piano Competition. Additionally, she has received recognition with second prizes in competitions such as the Hong Kong Goodway Piano Competition, The Juilliard School Pre-College Piano Concerto Competition, the Music Teachers Association Piano Competition, and the Woodmere Music Club Competition.

In her pursuit of musical excellence, Siyumeng has been awarded the Leonore Kraeuter Scholarship and secured a full scholarship to further her studies at The Juilliard School. Under the guidance of her esteemed mentors Yoheved Kaplinsky and Julian Martin, she earned both her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School in 2021 and 2023 respectively. Siyumeng is currently a C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellow at The Juilliard School where she is completing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree, a program designed for exceptionally talented and accomplished musicians who also demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of music, sharp intellect, innate curiosity spanning diverse fields.

Siyumeng's commitment to sharing the joy of music has led her to participate in the Gluck Community Service Fellowship Program. Through this initiative, she and her fellow musicians perform collaboratively, bringing uplifting music to healthcare facilities and community organizations in New York City.

Siyumeng is honored to have been a two-time recipient of the Kovner Fellowship at The Juilliard School in recognition of her artistic and academic achievements. With her genuine and sincere approach to music, she continues to inspire audiences and create meaningful connections through her performances.
