Born in Beijing, China, 24-year-old pianist Siyumeng Wang is a rising young artist in constant demand known for her charm and charismatic performances. Siyumeng is a prizewinner of numerous piano competitions, including first prizes at the Beijing All-Star Cup Piano Competition, the Hope Cup Piano Competition, the China National Children's Mozart Piano Competition, and the Oberlin International Piano Competition. Second prizes include the Hong Kong Goodway Piano Competition, the Juilliard School Pre-College Piano Concerto Competition, the Music Teachers Association Piano Competition, and the Woodmere Music Club Competition.
Over the years, Siyumeng received several awards including the Leonore Kraeuter Scholarship award, as well as a full scholarship to continue her studies at Juilliard as a winner of the Gina Bachauer Piano Competition. In addition, she has participated in masterclasses with renowned pedagogues such as Fabio Bidini, Robert Levin, Stephen Hough, Emanuel Krasovsky, Orli Shaham, John O’ Conor, and Olga Kern, among others.
Siyumeng is pursuing a Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Yoheved Kaplinsky and Julian Martin. Siyumeng graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree at The Juilliard School in 2021. She is currently a member of the Gluck Community Service Fellowship Program where she and
her group members give collaborative performances to New York City audiences in health care facilities
and other community-based organizations throughout the year. Her aim in performing is to bring
happiness and hope through her playing. Siyumeng is a proud recipient of a Kovner Fellowship at the
Juilliard School in recognition of her outstanding artistic and academic achievements.
